What is heat

5 May What is heat? Synonyms: Warmth, hotness, warmness, high temperature. What is conduction? The process by which heat or electricity is directly transmitted through a substance when there is a difference of temperature or of electrical potential between adjoining regions, without movement of the material. What is Convection? The movement caused within a fluid by the tendency of hotter and therefore less dense material to rise, and colder, denser material to sink under the influence of gravity, which consequently results in transfer of heat.

Nunuku's Law

A long time ago after fighting alongside the tribes of Rekohu, a chief called Nunuku made a law that there would be no killing or war. All the chiefs agreed so the law was made. People could only fight with a tupuari (a wooden staff), but if one of them drew blood, the fighting would have to end. The year 1835 Rekohu was invaded by tribes from New Zealand, chiefs of Rekohu decided what they should do. After they had discussed the chiefs decided that they would not disobey Nunuku’s law. The chiefs decided that they would not fight but share the land. A year later more than two hundred moriori men, women and children had been killed or became slaves. Their names are carved on the pou at Kopinga Marae to honour their memory and legacy of peace.

Tower Of Terror

20th March 2014 Tower Of Terror (Disneyland) Aahh!! Aahh!! Do you know what i just went on? I went on the Tower Of Terror ride, it is one of the scariest rides in Disneyland. It is a Dark and very tall building with an open window at the top where you can see most of the park and it takes a picture of you too. When you go into the Tower of Terror it shows you a video, the video is about a Hotel called the Hollywood Tower Hotel and 4 people who stepped into an elevator that dropped from the top and entered the Twilight Zone. The elevator drops really fast then goes back to the top and drops again. When i got into the elevator I started freaking out. When the doors closed a recorded voice talked to us then it went dark and that second it dropped and went to the top. My aunty Esther was screaming so loud and i was holding on so tight and screaming at the same time. It drops then goes back to the top 3 times. When we came out we looked at our photo and we laughed. We went on the Tower of Terror 4 times. Thats why this is my favourite and scariest moment in time.
